These instructions are assuming that you’ve successfully installed the network card into your computer and Windows 7 recognizes it. Now, we’re going to take you through the network settings step by step.
First, click the Start menu and then search “Network and Sharing Center.” You’ll reach a screen that looks similar to the one below.
Next, click on “Change adapter settings” on the left, right click the “Local Area Connection” and click on properties. If there is no connection labeled as such “or looks similar,” it’s possible your network card doesn’t work. Please bring the computer into the Res.NET office to troubleshoot.
While in properties, click on “Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IP) and go into its properties. Make sure that “Obtain an IP address automatically” is checked.
